No I was not asleep last year. I was passing on a specific discussion she had with a team she had last week. They have been talking about NASCAR for her for years.
Last year she was a novelty. She had not won any races. Any team signing her know it would be a publicity stunt. Even her win, while it was not a bad one, if Tony Kannan had a couple of more liters of Fuel, would have been a second place. But if she picks up a couple more wins, then a move to Nascar may not appear to be as much of a stunt.
Personally, I do not think she is as talented as her team mates. She is just more marketable due to her A-Cups and indoor plumbing. This years crop of open wheelers is not setting NASCAR on fire. But they are all much more talented than Danica. From a racing standpoint, moving her to NASCAR would be a mistake for a team. But from a marketing standpoint, for the right team, it probably would not be a bad one.
