Being new to pipe smoking I have only tried one Va/Per which I enjoyed very much. It is LA Red from the Hearth and Home series. It was recommended to me by the good folks at the B & M. They told me that it was the preferred smoke of someone who edits a pipe magazine or something like that.

I'm surprised it hasn't been mentioned in the original showdown thread or here yet. If the other Va/Per's are much better then this one I'll be in for a great treat once I branch out.
