New guy checking in from the southern bit of the San Francisco bay area.
I was raised by a cigar smoking father, and therefore was a one-stick-a-year smoker since age 18. Almost 17 years later my palate has finally turned the corner and I truly enjoy and appreciate cigars. Pops is a Fuente loyalist so I'll default to an 858 or Double Chateau if I can't decide on what to smoke. In the past two months I have enjoyed trying a variety of different cigars. Just two weeks ago I finally bought my own cutter and lighter, to give you an idea of how rookie I still am. I have only a small travel box at the moment so I just shop the local stores and buy a handful of cigars at a time.
My other taste is for IPA beers with Smuttynose, Lagunitas, and Bear Republic being my top-rated. I'm not a fan of the cigar/beer combo taste and I don't drink hard liquor, so I have only water (YIKES!) with my cigars.
