Unless you TELL them to scan it at the post office so they have a record of them having it I think it's worthless.

I know a guy who used click and ship here at the office. The mailman picks up the box and now it's lost. The post office is going to refund his money ONLY because he happened to remember that it was a different carrier on duty that day (that's how they know he's telling the truth). The post office said that the DC# does not help unless you ASK them to scan it in at the time of pickup. It's the only way to cover your @ss that they have the box.
