I recently purchased a fiver of each of these from CI.
The DMs really were oily ROTT, I could see it at the "burn point" where ash meets cigar body.
This did dinimish with age, but if I look closely I can still see it.
I have also found the DM to be slightly bitter, although this also improves with some age (2 weeks).
I tell myself I prefer the EF, not bitter at all to me, and the fivers are a larger vitola (Madrids). Maybe I should try the Escudero in the DM.
I looked in the humi yesterday, and I have only one DM left, and still have three EFs.
And the punch recommendation over cut is spot on, helped me reduce the cap problem significantly.
Both of these are enjoyable smokes, and will likely be a staple when I start buying boxes.
