The 2 that I have smoked showed little in the way of burn problems and what little there was corrected itself with no need for touch ups. I use heavyTupperware or Rubbermaid containers with a layer of that new heavy Glad "sticky" wrapper as an additional sealer when I plan to leave a container closed for a period of time for aging and was surprised to find the RH was 71% at 73 degrees after 48 hrs in the container with no humidification devices, so these must have been stored by CI in fairly humid conditions.
You might want to try bringing the RH up a few points and see if that helps any. I don't have a clue as to why, but some cigars just burn better at specific RH ranges and hopefully that will be true in your case if a little additional moisture will help with the burn.
Just out of curiosity, what effect did the 6 months of aging have on your sticks? But if you've had them for as long as 6 months they my very well have come from the first "Limitado" batch. Err, I think. Darn cigar manufacturers, you just can't put any faith in such things as Limitado any more.
