It's been a while since I've posted a review...........I think a lot of mine were lost in the purge earlier this year.
I ran out of JdN's for a while and recently got a new box of JdN Beli's right off the truck. I've smoked about 5 or so in the last week and wanted to share my experiences. I always smoke these after a good dinner.
Appearance/Construction: Uniform in color. Dark/Oily in appearance. These cigars appear to have excellent construction. They have a wonderful pre-lit aroma.
Draw: This box (so far) is extremely consistent with regard to draw.......not too tight, but not loose by any means.............JUST RIGHT!!
Flavor: This is where I'm a little biased. I've always liked these, in all sizes. IMHO they aren't terribly complex (but I still love em'). They start med to full with a little sweetness. The strength overpowers the sweetness throughout and builds to a more peppery/spicy flavor. I enjoy these all the way down to the nub.
Smokability: For a large cigar it needs relatively little correction, burns almost perfectly. Draw is consistent throughout and it burns cool to the end.
Overall, this is one of my favorite non-cuban cigars in this price range. If you're looking to kick it up a notch and try something a little stronger, give em' a whirl. These cigars are not for the faint of heart, but IIIIIIIIIIII LIKE EM'!!!!!
