I used the pipe service set reamer on a Caminetto (Ascorti/Radice) Business 144 estate pipe that I got on eBay. The pipe is 'broken in' but almost new. It had a very thick cake. I couldn't even get my pinky finger down the bowl all the way. I used the reamer right away after I got your gift, and then I did the salt/alcohol treatment with some brandy I had sitting around. Now the pipe is awesome. It barely had an odor of smoked tobacco when I got it. I guess it's been years since it was smoked. Now the bowl is pretty close to new and smells a little like brandy, not like smoked tobacco.

Your 'psychic' title of the thread really had me guessing. I thought maybe you had talked to an eBay dealer I had questioned in email about the EXACT same pipe tool service set.......that's what really got me wondering. I had emailed this guy a couple of days before your gift showed up.
