CAO Cameroon Robusto Review

First off, let me just say that I love the CAO Brazilia Line of cigars, with the GOL being my favorite!

This was the first time that I tried any of the CAO Cameroon Cigars. The Robusto is a box pressed cigar and is 5" x 50 in size and lasted about 45 minutes for me. I must say, that I am not a big fan of the box pressed shape. The construction was perfect, with a nice medium, slightly reddish, brown wrapper and a perfectly applied cap. This cigar fired up perfectly and burned perfectly all the way down. The flavor profile, is dominated, from beginning to end by a semi-sweet spiciness that is very pleasent and tasty. In the first third the semi-sweet spiciness is comanding and vibrant, with hints of wood and nuts. In the middle, the semi-sweet spiciness mellows down a few notches and more of the woody flavor comes forward with some nutty flavors in the back ground. In the final third, the semi-sweet spiciness comes back to the front, along with strong hints of earthiness which become a tad harsh at times. This stick also gets a bit hot in the final third. The finish/aftertaste last a long while, however, it become a tad bitter. This is a nice smoke, not very strong in either the flavor or strength profile. It's medium in flavor and mild to medium in strength. All in all and enjoyable smoke but not one that I would buy again.
