The last one was Seventy-Seven Deadly Days in Combat, West Dickens Avenue, A Marine at Khe Sanh. I read anything I can get my hands on about the Vietnam War, now that school has started up again I won't have much time to read for pleasure that much so who knows when I'll get a chance to pick up another book.

I just finished the Scott Harvath series from Brad Thor. 9 books total but it was in audiobook format. I may start a series of books from Daniel Silva next.

Two books... Disclaimer: I'm neither a communist or a socialist. But the stuff does fascinate me.

The Communist Manifesto by Karl Marx and the giant ass guide that goes with it.

Hegemony or Survival by Noam Chomsky

both are very good if you're interested in politics.

The books are well worth checking out; they're quirky and fun reads. They have mostly seperate plot lines from the series, with the exception of the first book (the first season of the show was based on it, but there are still some minor differences, and at least one major difference regarding a main character ).

Oh, and I'm still reading Shogun: Man, the first section of Book Two is slow going.

I tried reading dexter but I just couldn't do it. I was already into the show and I can't do both. Same happened. With true blood.

I'm slowly educating myself about both Korea and Vietnam. Would you recommend this book? I've been wanting to read something about Khe Sanh and am nearly finished with my current read.

    Thanks,

Last: Methuselah's Children by Heinlein, in preparation for

Now: Time Enough for Love by Heinlein.

I dunno, the preparation was more fun than the follow-up...

Yeah, I'd recommend it, it's not a heavy read & it's specifically about Khe Sanh which is cool. The author was actually a mortor man which isn't a discipline you get to read too much about, at least I hadn't come across it much.

Just finished Pohl & Kornbluth's The Space Merchants; now reading The Hobbit. I never warmed to this book before, though I enjoy LOTR, but it's bringing a few smiles to my face this time.
