I'm not sure if its still around but there's also Red Cloud's

118 W. Wilshire Ave

I plan on checking them out this monday if I can find the place. If I find it I'll look in and come back with some information.

It's a right ( heading south ) off Harbor Blvd, in downtown Fullerton. Don't know about their pipe selection though.

Hmm, I slowly drove by there on my way home from FJC on Thursday, but I didn't recall seeing a sign or anything for it, I'll have to actually park on monday then.

Thanks for the heads up though.

Re: pipe shops in orange county area?

Update:

Went to the address listed today, its actually no longer Red Cloud. Now its 8 Eighty Eight Cigar Merchants.

Cons: No Pipes or Pipe Tobacco

Pros: They're a member of Diamond Crown Cigar Lounge (amazing place and I'm heavily considering membership.)

The young lady working there named Kara (worth it to just go talk to her :-X) showed me around the members only lounge and then guided me to a place in anaheim called The Cigar House. (172 Lincolin Ave. in Anaheim)

This place had an ok selection of pipes, but like everywhere else they were marked up rather high. I looked at their tobacco selection and they had Captain Black, and Borkum Riff. The guy told me he usually has other brands like Savineli and Peterson but that with the on coming tobacco tax hike in California he's had trouble keeping pipe tobacco and cigars on the shelf. But that he'd have some next week. I take that with a grain of salt. I spoke with Thomas, he's a nice guy but seemed more into getting me to smoke a cigar than acquire pipe tobacco. I did buy a small cigar because it was cheap and actually smelled great. So we'll see. The store itself was clean well lit and inviting. The shop owners were a-ok in my book, I'm going to call them on Friday and see what he says but in the mean time I guess I have to trek out to The Tinderbox on Thursday.
