Any list of good B&M's in West LA?

So I live in the West LA area, and I know there are tons of shops out here, but I just dont know which ones are worth going to (good selection, low prices), and which ones to avoid. Tried doing some searches but didnt really find a decent list.

Also, considering how ridiculous sales taxes are out in Cali, do most people buy online?

I don't live in LA but I have to go there every couple of months and while I am there I have to find a way to sit around waiting for about 4 hours. There is a place called V Cut, I think on Melrose. It is a very nice place to sit and smoke. Old broken in leather chairs, TV, guys playing backgammon. Not real fancy but real comfortable.

Prices are within par. I mostly buy online now but when I go to a place like this I always buy a few to smoke there to support them.
