It was his dad's truck, and from the documentation I was presented, it was insured. The sticky point is that the kid did not have a license. As such, he was not an insured driver, I think my adjuster said he is probably a non-permissive driver. The dad's insurance may deny the claim.

My insurance is going to take care of everything, then either try and collect from their insurance, or sue the kid's parents directly.

There is a rather big problem with uninsured drivers here too; we have a large illegal alien population. Thank God I always add the uninsured motorist coverage to my policies!!
