Water Pillow - Point me in the right direction

Ok so I have been sending out the odd package and I am also doing a few trades with folks and I would like to start putting water pillow in my shipments.

Can anyone point me in the right direction. I could just look it up on the net but I had about 13 pints of Guinness last night and can't quite seem to focus on much other than CS right now.

If they are traveling a week or less I wouldn't worry about it...

Maybe even a week plus a couple...

As long as they're in a sealed bag, the humidity in the sticks should keep them fine.

Yup that is the issue sometimes the intercontinental space transport between Canada and US takes a little longer so rather be safe than sorry.

It's overkill, imo. They will be fine for several weeks without. If they do have the pillow and are left in a package for several weeks, they will have too much humidity and possibly cause mold. I would rather get a package a little on the dry side, bro.

Not really necessary. I have had no problem with shipments to and from Canada.

Yes indeed. I have found sticks in baggies that fell behind the Vino or got lost in the mess of my desk for weeks, even a month + and were plenty humdified. Meaning that I still dry boxed them before smoking them.

I would double bag them before putting a pillow in.

I can appreciate the fact that a couple of you dont think the pillows are needed, and in a world of air conditioning and care I agree.

I live out of the States and sometimes the sticks have to sit in a storage room or delivery truck with no a/c for an extended time and in that case I feel they help.

Again, I believe it comes down to the conditions the sticks will encounter on their trip!

I think that is more my concern. I would like to have them on hand for trades so that I can give my trading partners the options to either have the pillows in or out.

I don't think they are needed in general especially in the case of bombs as I typically have more than a couple of gars in there and they can share there moisture, but on a trade basis there may be less cigars in the bag and there is an expectation from a trade partner to do your utmost to ensure the safe travel of the sticks.

I do appreciate the thoughts on humidified shipment and that does very much relieve my concern.

Decisions decisions.

Thanks to all the BOTL's as usual with great advice

If you use pillows, I would suggest you double bag and put the pillow in the outer bag and just leave the inner bag(s) open to get air. My

CBID under "Merchandise" tab is the cheapest I have gotten them.

Re: Water Pillow - Point me in the right direction

If you can participate in cbid..................

I usually can pick up a 36 pack for $9 to $11. Too cheap NOT to use them! I seldom worry about over humidification with the pillows, especially since I put them in their little plastic baggies that come with the pillows. They are slow release humidifiers. They are actually what I use in my coolers to trade off humidity with my beads. I usually go 4-5 months without having to re-charge the pillows, so I'm fairly sure they will be gentle on sticks over a week or two, especially if they are not sopping wet when they go in.

I haven't had any complaints on any of the bombs or trades I've sent out in the past that included the pillows. I think I'm working on my 4th box, all from Cigarbid, and none over $11 for a box of 36.

They are not offered all the time, but when they are, there's generally several boxes to be had. Don't overlook the "quickie" section, as I have also seen them on that section in the past.
