Vinotemp Sales?

I read through some old threads to try and find the answer to this, but didn't have any luck -

Do Vinotemps go on sale often at stores such as Target? I know some of you BOTL's keep very good track of sales and letting forum members in on great deals. I remember seeing the 28 bottle on sale at Target via this site, does that sale happen often or should I just drop the $200 and stop waiting? My 100 count Savoy will be overflowing in a few weeks and I need something new! The slope seems to become more dangerous each passing day!

Hey bud, I just bought my second one about 8 weeks after buying my first. The Target website said $200, but I called (got this idea from another BOTL on here who did the same) and they had a few, and I asked if the sale was still on. They said I could have it for the sale price of $149......

I am fighting to keep wine in my second one, as my first, which is a humi, is getting full......

Some of the guys on this site should get paid for advertising. This is awesome. I bought one about 2 weeks ago from a local Target (149.00). Take this for what it's worth but the employee told me that it was a discontinued item. Not sure if that means for Target only....either way, there were only 3 left and I may make another trip and see if there's any left. Goodluck.

If you drink wine, they are killer for wine. I used to use the "20 minute" rule for my reds, 20 min in the fridge to try and get that lo 60's temp. Worked at times. Now I keep my reds in the vino temp, and about 10 minutes ago I uncorked a nice Cab, perfect, I mean perfect temp in a very warm house. Love these things.....I need a 3rd for a humi, my first is getting filled with boxes...lol.

Pardon my ignorance but who did you call? The local store or a number off the web site?

I was in my local Target on Friday and they had 2 units for the $199 price. Would be nice to save $50 to spend on stocking it up.

It WAS another brand.

Somebody posted the sale on a CS forum and every member (except you and me) called and ordered one and cleaned them out.

Damn, its thermoelectric, just like the vino. Thats a good deal on a humi man. Can the shelves come out? If not, you're screwed. that would be my only concern.

I purchase a venotemp for $200.00 from Target a few weeks back. It makes a great FRIDGE-A-DOR and yes the shelves slide out completely so you can replace them with cedar shelves if you like. The only problem I had with mine was getting the plastic smell out, it took a week to work the smell out. Other than that its great. I pluged the drain hole and put in a pound of 65% beads and filled mine to the top with my favorite cigars. Set the temp to the upper max and its ROCK SOLID at 68 degrees / 65% humidity. If I get lucky enough to find another at a discount price below $200.00 I'll grab it.

Ditto. Same here. I mean, for $150-200 you can't beat it, honestly. And imo, it looks great wherever it is in the house.

Especially with Tim's trays. Those are critical space-wise, as they are the only one's that allow a row of two per shelf, and they can stack. I was able to clear out enough room for about 2 more boxes with those things.

I won the 28 bottle Overstock fridge in a raffle put on by Bobarian last weekend, and it is working great. That is the best raffle I have ever won. I think I am going to need another one already, that is the slope for you.
