New coolador type box

I was using a 18qt Sterilite:

Had to go to a 70 qt after a few pieces of incoming ordinance:

Now we have a bit of space:

Almost makes me feel new again with an empty box.

BTW, I opened a fiver of Hoyo de Monterrey Excaliber 1066 Cameroons (thanks SmokyJoe) to put in a wooden box this morning. OMG, what a great aroma at 0700 in the morning. I almost lit one up in the house, and then I'd of been sleeping in the shed. Great aroma on this stick. One dies today, no resting for it.

Re: New coolador type box

Where did you get the container & how much?

I've been looking for something exactly like that with little luck....& the containers i do find have a questionable "air tight" seal.

$11.99 at Target. It keeps the RH pretty steady. As it is a thin plastic wall, a bit more sensitive to temp changes, but it works for me. I can send you a stickered up 18 QT if you want?

Can you return that Tupperware for a larger size?

Just a thought.

With friends like you I definitly don't need enemies. There was only one size larger and a 90 qt would look worse in my room than a 70 qt. Besides, do you know how much you have to smoke to cover it with bands? A lot!!!

Re: New coolador type box

I would watch your humidity if using the larger Sterilite containers. The are not meant to be air tight. Often around the midpoint of the sides the top will not seal as tightly as you would expect. 48qt coolers run $14 at WalMart.

Re: New coolador type box

Thanks. I'm hoping it works as well as the 18 qt did. Your may well be correct though, as when I was looking at them, it seems a tad different than the 18 qt. If not it will be storage in the shed and I'll pick up something different.

I may even look at sealing the lip for a better seal if this doesn't hold. I really like the shape and size of the Sterilites. Some rubber Dip-It might do it if needed. Nice little project to play with.

Re: New coolador type box

Well, if so, I can man up and take it (like I have a choice).

BUT, I have ordinance in route to me as I type. I DO HAVE 3 tagets selected and locations plotted (thank you MS FloydP). South LA is going to take a beating. Problem is they wont even know why it's coming, you might need to explain why it is they got bombed.
