Either work for me. For convenience, especially outside, lighters are great. If I light with matches, I toast before I cut the cap. Don't know why, just do it that way.

I prefer a couple of wood matches.

Except outside, then it's a torch all the way.

Honestly, I prefer wood matches. But they're a pain in the buttocks to carry around. I'm all about the soft flame.

Me, I don't have a choice. I smoke outside and around here its a rare day that there is no breeze. A torch is the only way to go for me.

There are cedar matches out there. Davidoff and Cohiba are two brands that I have seen. They are also longer than regular matches.
If smoking indoors, and not rushed, I had rather use matches or a cedar spill. The time it takes to get it toasted and take that first draw is worth it. "Good things come to those who wait".

I use matches whenever possible, but many times I end up using my torch.

I have more burn problems with matches and I smoke outdoors. The Ronson lighter is great-just don't use the Ronson fluid.
