What a Dilemma
Faced with a dilemma, whether to travel approx. 155 mi's round trip for this end table humi., the asking price is $250. Measures 29"H x 22"W x 25"D. It does not come with a humidification system, been looking at a few and estimate it would cost an additional $250 to $300 for the one I want. So, any opinion whether I should travel 4 hrs. round trip for an 'end table' humi that will cost a total of around $550. It's the commute that's hanging me up. Any opinions welcome!!. Suspect by the time I decide it will be sold, story of my life.

Re: What a Dilemma
I'd offer $200 and sleep in the creek.
155 miles round trip isn't bad at all, shouldn't take 4 hours.

Re: What a Dilemma
If it's the money... buy a big cooler and a pound of beads. You'll have twice the space and half the recharging of beads issues. Of course it lacks the "bling factor". Then again you can't smoke bling factor.

Re: What a Dilemma
I have another end table humi purchased some 10yrs ago, really like the humidification setup, add distilled water when the light indicates, and once every 12-18 months change the wick filter, other than that, don't pay any attn. to it.

Re: What a Dilemma
Oh soo close, just about made the trip but decided to browse the internet and came across a humidor, that was very simular to the one for sale. The package comes with a free humidification sys. (Hydra Electronic), or options: Oasis XL for an addition $10, or $20 for the Oasis XL Plus. Seems this would be better deal, by the time I purchased a humidifications system for the humi in pics it would amount to same price including S&H. Now need to read up on pros-cons of the Oasis XL Plus humidification system.
![]() Appreciate the input, had it not been that I could not get excited about traveling the distance I would have pulled the trigger. That being said, beginning to like the 'cooler' and 'beads' idea. I can store the extra boxes in the cooler and transfer them to the 'bling box' and let them rest before serving.

Re: What a Dilemma
I think the Hydra unit would work better than the Oasis or XL. It has gotten better reviews and you can order the fan kit to mount 2 external fans elsewhere in the humidor that come on when the Hydra does.
