New Humidor - Ugly Analogue

My new humidor: As the analogue hydrometer is there just for looks anyone know of a better looking one? This one looks like its a prize you got out of a cracker jack box. The "Brass" is some sort of foil over plastic.

Nice humidor! Be sure not to place it in the path of direct sunlight.

1up. As far as a better looking hydro... theres not much to say I think that they are just one of thouse things you have to deal with, you could check the fleabay but then you have to make sure it fits and may compromise your seal

A rosette merely tacked in with finish nails would be RH tight, and probably look better.

Very nice humi! Keep the analog for looks and buy a couple of digitals for work.

Re: New Humidor - Ugly Analogue

Get a digital or two for it and just ignore the analog! Better off leaving it alone and not disturb the seal. I agree that placement might be iffy as it is so close to windows- as was said make sure the sun doesn't shine on it or you will have trouble!

Re: New Humidor - Ugly Analogue

This any better, or is it the same thing?

It's faux brass, at least. They really don't look bad at all.

Here's another that doesn't look bad...

and another...

Here's a page with all different sizes...

You didn't mention what size the one in your humi was, I assumed it was a 2 inch. That's what all the ones are that I posted.
Good Luck!!!

Thanks Scott, that page at the bottom has a lot of options. I knew I'd seen the page before but I couldn't find it.
