Getting distilled water to/in Iraq.

Does anyone know of an online vendor that will ship distilled water to Iraq via an APO address? Does anyone in or that has gone to Iraq know how to get distilled water out here? Is anyone willing to ship a bottle of distilled water to me?

I am building a coolidor. I have a cooler and cedar in hand and beads on order. My humidor has gotten too small and I don't want to purchase another one. The dust here severly shortens their lifespan I'm sure. I decided a cooler to be my best option. The cooler I can toss and the beads I can take back with me (I plan on not having any smokes left when I leave).

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Jason

I would have to assume that the cost of getting a gallon of distilled water to Iraq would far outweigh the costs of frequent bead or humidifier replacement. Although, they might have it at any medical stations or hospitals. Look for big water filters, they will probably be Reverse Osmosis which is as good as if not better then distilled.
Also, some store bought bottled waters have undergone either distillation or RO filtering.
Remember though it can be any well filtered water. Not just distilled.

If you're absolutely forced to use tap water, just let it sit a day.

If you know anyone in Motor T, check with them. I know that back in the old days they used to have distilled water for car and truck batteries.

We have bottled water out here that I hear is ran through two filters and blah blah blah. It tastes clean. Think it will work?

Biggest difference between bottled water and distilled, is the distilled does not have any minerals. If it were me and there was no distilled, I would think bottled drinking water would be fine. Its not like it will hurt your cigars in any way.

Unless the water has a ton of impurities, it will take awhile for the pores in the RH Beads to become clogged.

I think you should be ok until you get back here and then just pick up some more RH Beads. I think the cost of shipping gallons of distilled water would greatly out way the cost of replacement RH Beads when you get back.

I hope this helps

Hey man the bottled water out here at all the points is so filtered it is not even funny.
Reverse Osmosis is an understatement for what our drinking water goes through that is bottled here. it is more than good for the beads/humis ect.

Re: Getting distilled water to/in Iraq.

How about getting yourself a bunch of the Drymistat tubes? They recommend using tap water so the bottled stuff should work fine. You can find them all over the place online and they are small that shipping cost shouldn't be bad either.

If you have trouble finding or getting them let me know and I will see if I can get some and send them your way. Its the least I can do for the guys who are watching our backs!
