Need some humidor "bead" advice...

Been a while since I stopped by the forum and it just feels good to be back!

I am currently using a picnic style cooler that does an amazing job of keeping my sticks at 70 & 70 and while I have a decent smaller humidor I bought in a Havana flea market a few years back, it became a pain constantly re-stocking it and trying to balance the humidity using sponges.

I finally made the plunge and bought a nice 150 ct box from Cuban Crafters and it looks very nice... It's the Arte original model and I hope it does the job for me... It comes with a large sponge style humie but would like to know if "beads" are the way to go.

My question is what is a good reliable and effective bead system to use and can anyone point me in the right direction. My research show a variety of types (pucks and cylider style) and I would like to know what the best way to go.

Would also like a link (or advice) as to how to "cure" this new box.

Advice (as always) greatly appreciated.

(sorry if this has been asked a million times but I could use some help here)

To season it place a small dish of distilled water inside and leave it for about a week, after that check the reading and when it reads 75%for a couple of days you are seasoned. As for beads, I use either the tubes from heartfelt or cigarmony....heartfelt has a calculator to tell you how much you need. Good luck with seaoning.

I use Heartfelt's 65% beads in tubes and haven't been disappointed.
