Cigar Star DG cutters

I just got one from an E-Bay bid. After one cut, I'm not impressed. The blades seem a bit loose and it didn't make a very clean cut.

Does anyone else have any experience with them?

I have one, cuts pretty good.
You have to be sure to cut quick, fast.
Set the cutter, get the blades where you want them on the cap and apply just enough pressure to hold it there.
THEN snap the blades together as fast as you can.
This seems to work for me no matter what kind or brand of cutter I use. From the $5.00 Havana to the $35.00 Palio.

There's a reason we chime in here with Palio and Xikar... I love em both, but my Palio stays in my pocket all the time.

I've got a Palio and Xiker....I prefer the Palio but it never hurts to say you have a Xikar as backup.

I concur... Now I need a back up Palio. Might try one of the new fancy colored ones. With my blinging seegar cutter, I'll be the bombdiggity of the Herf. Yep, it's Monday and I'm fill of

Yeah. I figured as much. I'll give them another try, then likely pick up something better with a stick order.

They're fair for what they cost, but I wouldn't buy one again now that I have a Xikar. Cigar Star.
