Hate to say this with all the rave reviews, but even from first day I brought mine home (the carbon fiber model), it was a little "sticky" when you try to open it. It wants to go to max extension when you have to tug a little to get it over the initial stick, even once pulling completely apart when I use it to cut a cigar. Fully extended, it feels kinda flimsy. Is there a preferred way to clean it -- dishwasher? I am sure it is something I am doing wrong -- a little advice, please. Thank you!

I have the Burl Wood finish and mine has done the same thing from day one. I use two hands to open it a little to free it up so that it dosen't come apart then use it in one hand to cut my cigars. Never had a problem in over a year and it has cut countless cigars.
But on the other hand, I like tight things.

Still an Xikar man here. Here so many good things about palio, but my Xi2 has not let me down yet.

Re: 101 Other uses for your Palio

I'd like to try a Zikar someday. That was the only higher end cutter I could find online until I found CS. I'm quite happy with my Palio and it seemed to come in cheaper than any Zikar I had seen before.

In any case, I have 2 Palios now because I received one in a trade, and I don't feel the need to have another cutter.
