My humi is not consistent from side to side/top to bottom. I've got 3 drymistat sticks in a 120ct humi. My brother brought his hygo over today (digital) and we noticed as much as 5% difference from left to right, and the top was like 8% lower. I have one drymistat on top, two on bottom.

Has anyone experienced this before? How do you combat it?

Typing this out I thought of something... the side thats higher has all the cello'd cigars. Could that be it?

Um, a 120 count humi? There shouldn't be any problem with a humi that small, and nah... you shouldn't need a fan in one that small either. My opinion would be to simply not worry about it. To be honest, 5% really means little and the hygro might be off a few percentage points anyway. If you're using beads then just relax and forget about it. If you're not then think about using beads so you can just forget about it. I use beads and even when the water starts running out and the humidity drops 5% I don't get too worried. Once it starts dropping below 65% than I refill the humidifier. I've been using 70% beads but with a new larger humi I'm getting I'm trying 65% beads.

This is not uncommon, especially from top to bottom! My main storage cooler is a 150 qt Marine Rubbermaid Cooler. I have a hygrometer at each end, near the top and one at the bottom, near the middle. With the use of two Oust Fans, all three read within one percent of each other, and the temp is exactly the same on all three. Oust Fans are amazing little battery operated systems. They are programed to run for five minutes and then shut off for 15 minutes. They will run for about 10 months on a "D" size battery. The photo shows how I have set my fans up for maximum air movement. I simply removed the front housing and the lower battery panel. I use a rubber band to hold the battery in plae

That's common in larger humidors and cabinets. That's why a lot of people use the Oust fans pictured above and modified computer fans.

That's a great way to modify the Oust fans! I'm going to have to do that for my largest humi. Thanks.
