imperfect humidors?

I was wondering if anyone here has ever purchased an imperfect humidor from cheap humidors.com? If so, how imperfect is imperfect? I've bought a humidor from them once before and was quite happy with their service provided but I'm reluctant to buy an imperfect without prior knowledge. I'm not completely worried about the looks of the thing, rather I'm apprehensive about quality storage of stogies. Thanks in advance guys and gals.

Re: imperfect humidors?

I just got a 100 ct from them. All I could find is one very little chip on an edge and a very small dark spot on an other edge. All in all not bad at all. I was happy with it. At the same time, it's going to be the humi I keep in my semi so a few marks don't bother me. Hope that helps.

I bought a 150 from them four months ago. I would purchase one again in a heartbeat. To this day, I STILL don't know what is wrong with it

I'm the rest of the guys.

I got an imperfect from them last year. It has one very small finish flaw on the top. The savings was well worth it.

Re: imperfect humidors?

I purchased one, a Milano, from them last last summer.

The only flaw on it is a small gouge/scratch...on the inside. The exterior is fine.

I remember opening the shipping box and looking all over the humidor's exterior for the flaw and didn't find it until I opened the thing. I couldn't have been happier.

The humidor does a great job of maintaining humidity.

I wouldn't hesitate to order another one from them.

Re: imperfect humidors?

I picked up an Amalfi 75 count second from Cheaphumidor a couple of months ago. The only thing I could see that may have been wrong was the little fake handle in the front is a little crooked.

The service was good and the humidor works great.

Re: imperfect humidors?

I'm actually in the market for a new humi and have been checking them out daily at Cheap Humidors. I've read nothing but great things about them, but am waiting for a free shipping deal. I know they had one a week or two ago, but am holding out. The imperfects go fast, so I may need to pull the trigger.

Re: imperfect humidors?

Unfortunately I am one of the few that received a definite imperfect along with some bad customer service, see my thread here: http://www.clubstogie.com/vb/showthread.php?t=200390
I don't think I will be shopping there again but my experience seems to be a rare one.

Thanks for the head's up Vegas. I'm probably just going to buy a "first" and "Submit an Offer". I tried low balling, but it returned immediately saying it wouldn't take anything under 15% (or something like that). If I can get it for 15% under, it would be very close to the price of the "imperfect" of the same model. I'd rather pay a few extra $$'s and not risk the hassle.

Re: imperfect humidors?

I purchased an imperfect humi from cheap humidors and the only thing I can tell is really wrong with it is the "handle" on one side is actually upside down. Other than that its perfect

Re: imperfect humidors?

The imperfection of my humidor was that the sticky foam on the edge of the dividers were other places than it should have been. A quick swipe with an alcohol swab and it came right off.

Re: imperfect humidors?

I purchased my humidor as an imperfect from them. The only "imperfections" was a scratch on the back of the humidor that, for the most part, buffed out, the dividers were missing the foam on the ends and a handle was tarnished, wich also polished out.

I would buy and imperfect from them again
