To Season or not to Season?
I finally pulled my old humidor out of the storage building yesterday and bought a couple of cigars to put in it. I also bought a new Springfield digital hydrometer and a pack of the Madelaine crystals. After installing everything last night, I got up this morning and checked everything and my hydrometer read at 60%. I only have three cigars and a pack of cigarellos for my wife in there. Should I have seasoned it first? Can I take everything out and season it now? If I need to season it, what is the best way to season a box?

Re: To Season or not to Season?
Salt test the hygrometer.
Wipe down the inside with a damp, not wet, cloth with distilled water. Buy some beads. Leave the Crystals in there until you get some beads. Check the humidor in 2 days or so.
