Low temperatures. Problem?

Here's a noobie question for you. I have recently moved my humidors to my basement because I thought temp fluctuates less in the winter down there. So the temps are around 60 to 65 F. The RH seemed to have dropped to around the same numbers (60-65), even though I am using heartfelt beads 70%.
Do I need to be concerned with the lower temps at all? I know that higher temps are the main concern. Does the lower temp slow down the aging process?
Probably worried over nothing here.

Re: Low temperatures. Problem?

Maybe others will disagree but ive been storing my sticks in the 65%/65 deg range for a while with no problems.

Any more i dont like my humi above 68 deg. I like 65% humidity better than 70 as well.

just my though.

Re: Low temperatures. Problem?

I wouldn't worry about it. My humidor hangs out in the 66*F/63%rh range, which is just perfect. 60-65 degrees isn't bad. Lower than that though will give you humidity problems (cooler air holds less moisture), but the temperature itself doesn't affect the smokes much.

Re: Low temperatures. Problem?

My experience has lead me to enjoy my drier sticks more because I have less burn issues.
And I have not had the struggle with moisture for my beads near as much when the temp is cooler.

Might be my own experience but TIFWIW.

I dont plug my vinotemps in unless the temp breaks 70*/F in the room either.
