Last coolerdor question from me.

So, I got mine up and running, got some sticks in it, but i've been thinking of putting some Spanish Cedar in it. How do I go about doing that now since it already setup. Would I just need to set the board down and put it in? I'm really looking at making a shelf. full boxes at the bottom and singles in trays on the top (my cooler has a midway lip around it, so perfect for this setup).

Cedar really is not a necessity for the coolador especially if you store boxes in it. If you have some Spanish Cedar handy it would make a nice shelf.

Re: Last coolerdor question from me.

Don't have any nice sized pieces handy. But we do have that Woodcraft store in town, so I was going to get some there and build my own shelf/trays.

PS, you guys on this forum rock. Always sucks being a noob to something, and i've been reading pages deep on the forums while i'm at *clears throat* work.

Agree you don't need this; unless you just want it for "looks".

Re: Last coolerdor question from me.

I believe that cedar is a GREAT "presence" to have in a cooler.
I firmly believe that sticks age/store "BETTER" when in touch with cedar

If this is for daily stick grabbing then the use of cedar is minimal.
BUT!!
If you have sticks that will be resting/stored for a while....months...let em touch cedar.

If you're gonna have shelves (and you live near a woodwork store ),mght as well make em out of SPANISH cedar..

Nothing to lose.

Re: Last coolerdor question from me.

There is a Woodcraft here and I was gonna get some of the Spanish Cedar. The cooler will have the boxes I goto on the random occasion. Rest of the time i'll be using a humidor on my desk for my daily smoke. I just like to have things nice and neat.
