The other one is a St. James series, Oxford model, the larger 160 capacity humidor. I have had it about 7 months now and it is working flawlessly and maintaining humidity at 65% just as I like. ![]() Mike ![]() |

Re: diamond crown
I have had two of the Westchase Models for a little less than a year now. I had purchased one eBay and one from a local B&M. I'd have to say that the one from the B&M is much better looking, however it did cost about 3 times more than the one from eBay. Overall both have the same great build quality that DC always puts into it's products. The seal is great, however I would highly recommend that you ditch both the hygrometer and humidifer as both are not exactally top notch. I'd advise you to go for it, but it you can, head to a B&M with a good rep and you'll never be sorry.

Re: diamond crown
I currently have the "windsor" (160 count), and I absolutely love it.
IMHO..they are the best made desktop humidors I ever seen in person. With that said..I just repaired my humidor tonight. I was going to start a thread on this soon, but I want to make sure I fixed it first. Plus, I am going to show pictures of what I did, cause I couldn't find much information pertaining to this at all. I have a leak, do too my humidor warping a tad. Now the apartment where I live is the problem, cause the temperature changes, and I think it caused this. I live with steam heat that I do not control, and the constant temperature changes that I deal with in the summer and winter time played a major part in this . Due to the quality of this humidor..I think it with-stood the beating pretty good. I've never had a problem with this humidor, until I noticed the lid wasn't sitting correctly. I'm pissed I didn't notice this sooner. I should add, that I've had this humidor for almost 3 years now, and spent $495.00 back then for it. If you're thinking about buying a Diamond Crown humidor...DO IT!! I can promise you, you won't regret it. When I first got into cigars, I bought what i thought was a good humidor, from one of the Giants online. I can say without a doubt..the quality of my first humidor and the Diamond Crown..was NO COMPARISON! I highly recommend the "windsor", if it's in your budget. Let me finish experimenting with fixing this leak, and I'll post some photo's. Last edited by Ozone89; 01-11-2009 at 02:20 AM.. |

Re: diamond crown
I might also add, I bought mine from http://bonitasmokeshop.com/index.htm , the price of the 160 count Oxford or Windsor was $354, including shipping.

Re: diamond crown
You won't go wrong with the Diamond Crown. It's like buying a nice piece of furniture. I have the Biltmore and have nothing but good things to say about it other than I filled it up very quickly. I also puchased two larger humidors from Cigars International and filled them up as well. I now have my eye on an Aristocrat humidor. A slippery slope indeed...
