Oust fans... Are they the only battery powered solution?
Been trying to find one or two and they all seem to come with a scented fluid? Do they make a plain-jane one that is just a fan? They seem quite pricey for a product that (if memory serves) sold for about $5
Do they switch on and off on their own to prolong batt. life? How long do they last on one set of batts? (What size do the take?) I got a VT 28 and I am planning my strategy. I assume the fan in the VT is not sufficient? Any Oust sources or other solutions? Has anyone used the internal power supply of their VT to power a secondary fan... something small like a PC fan?

Re: Oust fans... Are they the only battery powered solution?
I use thee Oust fans in my cabinet and love them. They run off of D batteries and cylce on and off (I’m not sure how frequently). I only have to change the batteries several times a year, so they are relatively hassle free. I've only seen them come with scented oil. The first thing I do is to immediately throw away the scented oil and then I wipe down the outside of the fan with a diluted bleach solution to get rid of any lingering scents. Air it out for a while and repeat if there are still traces of fragrance on it. Then it’s good to go. Some people take off the front grill from the fan to decrease the profile and increase the airflow a little. Oust fans are hard to find these days so jump on them if you find some.

Lexxus:
OK, so here are your options: 1) Get an Oust from Heartfelindustries.com ($12.95 plus S/H). 2) Consider the following project: http://www.puff.com/forums/vb/questi...html#post85864 3) PM me for option # 3. Jorge
