My new humi

The sides are PA cherry, the top inset is Ambrosia maple. Overall dimensions are 20"L x 10"W x 8.5"D. Just got the last coat of finish on her. The inside has been wiped down a couple of times with distilled water. All that's left to do is put hinges on and the tray in.

Nice work - Now all that's left to do is give it a few coats of paint.... (not)...
Q. - Did you line it w/ Spanish cedar? I tried to find some recently at an exotic wood dealer, was told they don't carry it any more now that the "cigar craze" is over.

Re: My new humi

The humidor looks great. The grey streaks in the maple add so much charectar.
Figured maple and cherry always go well together.

I'd love to see a couple pictures of it when your all done and its stuffed with goodies.

PUFFNMO,
If your still looking for spanish cedar, you can get it at rockler supply(www.rockler.com). They sell it in short resawn lengths, great for lining humidors, just a little more expensive than buying it from a saw mill.

Might be a while before it's stuffed - this one is gonna be for those special 'gars, wink wink.

The gray streaks are actually mineral streaks, which is what makes this wood so gorgeous IMO.
