i have a xi2 and love it, i know someone with a xi and they love it. both are great in my opinion, and both will live up to whatever expectations you have.

i don;t think you can go wrong with either, but personally i prefer the xi2 cause its a little lighter

They're the same, it's just the housing is made of different materials. I like the look of the Xi better, but I myself have a Xi2. I don't know how scratch resistant the Xi's are, so maybe Xi2's are the way to go.

Xikar Xi has a steel housing, the Xi2 has a fiberglass housing, and I believe the Xi3 has a titanium housing.

I have a Xi with what looks like an ABS plastic facing and it's been great so far - not picked up any scratches or knocks.

You can't go wrong with either one. Purchase the one's that cheaper and spend the money you saved on stogies!

A carry an X1 and love it, I've had one for years. I like a good solid feel and it has some weight to it. I definitely know when it's not in my pocket. And it fits perfectly in that little change pocket in your jeans.
