talk to squid he does ronson lighters decorated with cigar bands and they look great( sorry squid throwing a bone your way). Also the zippo with a z plus insert works well and are very resilient to the elements. My fav is still the ST Dupont Extend its hands down the best lighter I have ever owned but its out of the price range you stated. If you decide to switch to traditional soft flame(what I prefer for indoors and no matches handy) then get the Vector insert for zippos, absolutley great product.

Get a blazer single torch. Looks like a little fire extinguisher. It is designed to be kept on for long periods of time as jewelers use it to melt gold... I've had my blazer for about 5 yrs now it's just been missing for about 6 months in my car or something...

I got a Ronson JetLite at Wal-Mart for $2.93 + tax. Best bang for your buck.

the lighter that you didn't mention, was probably a Colibri; or at least it works like one.

I bought my first and last Colibri in May. Its been in for repairs twice within the last five months. At $50 I'd excpect a better working lighter. Love my Xikar, through!
