One word... Xikar. Can't beat a lifetime warranty.

Check out the new Lure model.

Get a Lotus. But before you do, get a can of compressed air and blow out the top if the lighter really well, where the flame comes out. Sometimes carbon builds up or ashes fall in there causing the jets to clog. Make sure you bleed it out, too. Get a small screwdriver or the end of a wire coat hanger and press down on the valve where the gas goes. Press in and out until you hear NOTHING coming out. Then refill and try it out. If none of this works, then it's dead.

For the money I would have to go with Xikar also. the lighter that you didn't mention, was probably a Colibri; or at least it works like one.

I've got a Xikar, and it works well but has a very small tank with no gauge. I just got a Blazer CG-001, and it's taken the number one slot with me. Big tank, fuel window, and although I haven't had it long, it lights every time. A little bulky to put in a jeans pocket, but I like it for home.

Before you toss your current one....try what David said. I didn't have any compressed air so I did what one of the guys on here suggested and just blasted a small bit of fuel into the top of the lighter outlets, clearing the them out. Fixed it right up perfectly. Then if that works, buy another and you have two good lighters. One for the house and one for the car.

Good recommendation David.

I use a Blazer Z-Plus Zippo insert mostly (I collect them); but also have a Xikar and I must say: Xikar.

I can't believe I am the first one to say this...go to Wal Mart and get a $3 Ronson torch lighter in the tobacco checkout lane. These cheap Chinese POS work great.

I'm with John on this.

You can pick them up at Canadian Tire.

Yup, I have a couple of them $2.94 or something like that! jetlight I think is the name. got them after reading here about them. works great! Not the biggest tank I suppose, but they do work well at lighting cigars and look pretty nice too!
