Just a thought. I wonder since people are spending less, has cigar sells decreased? Further - I wonder if prices will fall, or increase with the economy?
Has the current economy reduced your cigar buying? Are you buying less?

Hasn't affected me, but I don't spend that much compared to most. I think the economy has affected larger purchases much more than beer/liquor/smokes. It's easy to justify a $5-$10 smoke versus a new boat. That's my personal train of tought.

I'm interested in hearing what some reps or MFG'ers have to say.

I am finding more people unloading their personal stashes - personally, I continue to chase the rare cigars, which aren't out all that often, so my purchases haven't really changed.

It really depends.. I personally don't have much money tied up into investments.. the only thing that affected my income was gas prices. Now that it's lower than it has been in two years I actually keep more money in the house than before.

My son is about to turn 3, so his daycare cost will reduce by about 20% a month.. I will be saving more money.. Unless I love my job (knock on wood).. I'm solid.

Taxes are affecting sales a lot more than anything. Michigan is trying to pass bans on smoking and has raised taxes on tobacco products. Its a bummer, but people who love to smoke cigars and have been doing it for years are going to continue to smoke regardless.

Squid® doesn't think econimic pressure effects cigar sales, other than taxes... Cigars are a luxury item and those who purchase them aren't going to stop because of a budget issue.
