I have the first one. Works a little too good sometimes. Especially when you"re holding it upside down and it lights the palm of your hand. Burns like HELL! Other than that, it's a great lighter.

I have an Executive, and it works just fine. I dont really use it much. I dont think it would hold up too well in my pocket along with all the keys and change. That job goes to the Ronson.

Re: Xikar Lighters.

I had an executive and it was great....BEFORE IT WAS STOLEN!!

So I just bought another one last week....

WTF? the thing will light for 10 seconds (which isnt enough to light large RG stogies) goes out, and then wont relight. I then have to shake it to get the gas flowing again at which point it will light for 1 second...fuel doesnt matter...its just a defective lighter...now I get to send it back and wait for one that might work.

damnit I hate it when I buy stuff and its broken out of the gate

I have the Executive, actually it's a replacement for my first one. Works well. I just got the Enigma last week, it lights every time and it quite solid.

Re: Xikar Lighters.

None for me I bought a Trezo Xikar lighter and love it. Triple flame and the window for the fuel.

lifetime guarantee cannot go wrong with any Xikar.

Re: Xikar Lighters.

I sell Xikar products, so I have some experience with both of the 2 models. The executive outsells the plunge but the best feedback I receive is on the Trezos. Also, I never cared for any of the colibris.

That happened to a buddy who borrowed my executive to light a cigarette! Too funny.

Either take it back to where you bought it, or send it to Xikar for repair or replacement. Their turn around is about 2 weeks.
