Love the Executive, never had a problem with it. It is great for touchups, requires a little longer on lighting larger cigars from the single flame, but it is very nice

Re: Xikar Lighters.

I would take any xirkar anyday over any colibri lighter anytime. Can't speak to the specific lighters you mention though.

Re: Xikar Lighters.

I have an Executive. It's a nice lighter, but holds a terribly small amount of butane. Seems like I'm constantly refilling it.

Also, there is no see thru window to check the butane level. So, no way to tell when it is almost empty. Nothing more frustrating than being halfway through a light and it goes out.

That being said - I still think it is a nice looking, well put together, very reliable lighter. I just wish it had a bigger butane tank.

Re: Xikar Lighters.

I bought the Executive when it first came out, it was Xikar's first lighter. The flame went south on me big time and the black coating was coming off bad. I sent it back to Xikar and they sent me a new one. One the new one I have to adjust the flame to max to use and it seems a little picky. But other then that it seems to work fine.

In Dec I just got the windproof soft flame Xikar, and I love that lighter!

Had a black executive, didn't care for it. You can scratch the paint off with your fingernail. I prefer Lotus lighters.

Re: Xikar Lighters.

I have the plunge so far so good. Has a window and holds plenty of fuell for me. Keep mine in the leather case that comes with it and it still looks great. Got a free Pepin Executive but I have not taken it out of the box yet...

Re: Xikar Lighters.

I've got an Element Xikar lighter, no trouble with it, except for the capacity being a bit small. The window lets you know you need to fill it before you get embarrassed or run out of fuel.

Re: Xikar Lighters.

I have the plunge and use it every day, I love it. My only complaint is that the flap opens up and I constantly hit my cigar with it.
