+1, but I found mine at a craft store, meant to hold wedding favors.

Small dishes work, but don't give wuite the same surface area (the sides if deep enough, and the bottom, do not breathe) and can be spilled.

Additional ideas for containers are here:

http://www.puff.com/forums/vb/access...ad-pillow.html

I previously deleted the pic of my container from this thread for reasons of space. It basically uses a square tupperware container, no lid. I drilled a few holes around the edge of the container, placed the same platic mesh on top and secured it with plastic cable ties. That seems to work well and it gives you a nice surface for bead exposure.

Re: Beads container

I have been using Panty hose, and a few 1 oz tubes from heartfelt...but I have to say ChokeOnSmoke's pillow looks pretty sweet. I may have to make a couple of those. I really like the amount of surface area it creates.

Thanks. Here are the vitals on the one in the picture:

Plastic canvas (14 mesh) and 6 lb test fishing line to stitch the canvas all the way around. It's about 5" x 6" inches. Each one holds 6 oz. of beads. I've got 2 of them in my 120 qt cooler, the total of 3/4 lb. beads works really nice in there.
The best part about them is that they are thin & rigid enough to stand up in between boxes or trays or whatever.

Thanks for the details. Are there different sizes of the mesh? Does this mesh seem to keep all the fractured peices of the beads contained? The tubes I have no seem drop a little more everytime I move the tube.

Yes, there are different sized plastic canvas. The higher the number, the smaller the hole. I started out making them with a mesh of 10, but that let all the tiny broken pieces through. The 14 mesh works the best. Small enough to hold in the broken beads, but large enough to allow my squirt bottle to shoot a mist through nicely when recharging.

On a side note:

You will get less "snow flakes" if you avoid applying water directly to the beads, even spraying a mist. It takes a bit longer but placing a saucer with a clean sponge saturated with distilled water in the same enclosed area as the bead pillow will bring it up to the desired RH.
