wally world cooler

I was in Walmart last night and found some red 48 quart coolers (igloo) for $18. They have the slots for shelves and are pretty much square except for a slight taper from top to bottom on 2 sides. They had a Igloo 120 quart for $52 but its smooth inside and all the corners are rounded off alot. For $18 hell i could make 3 coolerdors. I know the norm is to go big but how many people have went the 48 quart route?

Re: wally world cooler

I use an Igloo cooler for my coolerdor. Don't remember what size it is ( 17L x 9 1/2W x 10D inside). Small footprint. Holds about 15 bundles of smokes. Use 6 oz of beads. Keeps consistent humidity; seals well.

I have 2 of the 48 quart coolers that I bought from WallyWorld last year for 415.75+tax. They work great.

I much prefer 48s.
They stack nicely in the closet
and are easier to move around.
It's easier to organize your stash.
If you ever had a beetle or mold problem,
less of your stash would be exposed.
As they fill up, just add another.

Re: wally world cooler

My earlier post should have been $15.75+tax. Missed the shift key the first time.

Excellent comment, ring gauge to you my friend...

I'm using an old 68 qt. Coleman, I bought cedar trays from Cheaphumidors.com, and I now have 4 trays in there for singles, and room for a bunch of boxes. Humidity is via 1 lb. Heartfelt 65% beads and Oust fan.

I buy mostly 5 packs and samplers, so I really need to add another tray or two. They'll fit.

Re: wally world cooler

Starting to look like something now. Heartfelt beads keeping it right between 65%-68% and its in the basement store room so the temp is a steady 65 degrees! Put my old Oust fan in it for shiza giggles. Right now ive got loaded with

Brocatus torpedos
5 vegas classic coronas
La Differencia Cubana torpedos
5 vegas mega sampler (classic, miami, series A, Golds) in a Olvia box
Onyx Reserve Mini belicosco

Ive got some Sol Cubano Series B torpedos on the way. Cbid is kickin my wallets butt!!

I'm using the styrofoam cooler that I got from Omaha steaks. It's packed and is working ok.
