I'm sold on heartfelt

Since I started smoking seriously several months ago I resisted the urge to spend $30.00 on heartfelt beads, I figured my Hydra would work great...Well it does work great if the rh drops below the preset level. But...in Florida I'm finding that it's nearly impossible to keep the rh from rising...case in point, recently my smokes began tasting like crap and they were way too wet...I finally broke down and bought 1lb of heartfelt 64% beads and for the past 2 weeks my humi has been a rock solid 66%, even with the external rh at well over 75%(even in my house{a/c sucks})...Finally after a week or two of sweating bullets over the preceived loss of my smokes, I'm once again enjoying them...I would highly recommend these beads to anyone that asks..I'm sold...

Re: I'm sold on heartfelt

Sweet! I'm glad to hear you are back to normal. I'm still adjusting to the changing weather as well. In a few of the big humis I'm having to remove the element and vent them at times to get back to normal. One I rarely ever open and it stays rock solid, the other with gel from CI is solid 68% or so. I would prefer to get them all to about 66%.

Good news!

I like them too. They keep the RH steady. It doesn't matter if my hygrometers are off a few points. I know what they read when the beads are charged. If the reading drops I give the beads a spritz.

Re: I'm sold on heartfelt

No doubt. Heartfelt is great on all levels. When I ordered my tubes, the owner (sadly forgot his name) took my forwarded call on his cell phone while traveling. He took the time to give me solid advice and steer me in the perfect direction. He could have easily oversold me, but he suggested I use two tubes, one on bottom, one on top of my three teired humi. Here in the Richmond area, we have seen about 10days of rain and spiking humidity. It's not been warm enough for the AC and not near cold enough for heat. Rather tropical. The ambient humidity has seldom dropped below 80% and my box is sitting right at 70%.

Great product.

Re: I'm sold on heartfelt

The beads from heartfelt are great. I have some 65% beads that I've been using for quite a while and they have kept my smokes in perfect shape.

Re: I'm sold on heartfelt

After messing around for a few months with cheap foam setups and seesawing RH levels I bought the Heartfelt 65% beads and never looked back. They work, simple as that.

Re: I'm sold on heartfelt

I've been using 65% beads for about half a year. They work great. It's too bad that it has been raining on and off here for the past week or two. The humid air is starting to affect the humidity in the coolerdor. But nothing too different to effect my cigars in the long run.

Re: I'm sold on heartfelt

It doesn't hurt to use extra beads (tubes). Especially when the temp and humidity is jumping up and down, one fully white tube (un-moistened) will take care of any atmospheric tantrums while the rest give off moisture when needed.

Re: I'm sold on heartfelt

i got them in my humidor and the hygrometer allways read 65. So i got a tupperwear container and put my lesser quality sticks in the and use the hygrometer in there to monitor the gel stuff.

The beads are fantastic and simple. Last a long time to without needing a refill.
