Seasoning 500 CT Geneve/Indulgence humidor

Hello all. I just got in a new 500ct humi from Cheaphumidors.com. They have it listed as the Geneve on their site but I've also seen it called the Indulgence on other sites like CI. Anyhow, my question revolves around seasoning. I started seasoning it yesterday afternoon with a couple small bowls of distilled water, and 3 fully charged humidty bead humidifiers in the thing. I decided against wiping down as to not cause any accidental warping. Late last night it was already reading 80% humidity and today its been holding at 85% (calibrated Xikar digital hygrometer). I think I'm supposed to leave it for at least a few days but with the humidty already holding so high do you all think its good to go or should I leave it longer just to be safe?

Thanks!

Depending on what beads you have (65%, 70%) I'd take out the distilled water and let the beads take care of the humidity at this point. Allow the humi. to settle in to the optimum % of the beads. Remember you want to keep your beads about 60% clear, so the beads can absorb or release the moisture. Once you start putting in the cigars you may see fluctuations (they may be a bit "wet or dry"). This is normal. It'll take some time for the beads to adjust back to their correct humidity.
