humidification help

so heres my problem i need something to hold up humidity very well for a good while. See i'm leaving for USMC boot camp in september(i know its a few months away but time has been flying since swearing in in feb.) but any way i need to make sure my cooler stays good for im gonna say roughly 4 months without much maintaining. I'm gonna have to give me wife a run down on how to do a little work. I was thinking my best bet is going to be a half pound of beads. I went to the heartfelt site and measured and did some calculating and a half pound is what i need. just wanted to see some other thoughts or ideas maybe see if i can find a little money saver???

Re: humidification help

Heartfelt beads would be your best option. I charge the ones in my coolers about every 3 months.

i think thats what im going to end up using, since the wife is going to be doing the upkeep i want it to be as simple as possible and right now its not simple. right now i have a jar of crystals a tube of crystals and about 3 water pillows in there and her trying to do all that upkeep.....well lets just say i'll have some dry sticks when i get home

+1 and I agree.

Before you go, set up two jars of charged beads. Put one in the day you leave and seal the other. Have her switch them at the halfway mark of your training. You will come home to perfect smokes. When you get home, you can use the other one for your next coolidor

Thanks for your service.

I want some anyway just cause they seem much less of a hassle than what i'm doing now plus they sound almost idiot proof hahahaha but yea i like the whole 2 jar idea and at the rate im going i might need another cooler or maybe just a bigger one. thanks herf n turf
