Lighter / Cutter Combo
OK, I am now convinced that there is no such thing as a decent cutter / lighter combo. Many years ago, I spent a ridiculous amount of money on a limited edition Opus X prometheus lighter/cutter. The cutter part went dull in a week. So, I carried a cutter around (which defeated the purpose of the combo).
Several years later, I found a relatively cheap Colibri combo. It had a blade cutter that swivels out, but also featured a punch cutter, as well. I figured I couldn't go wrong. Nope, the blade cutter only cuts small ring gauge cigars, and the punch is really dull. I think I'm going back to matches and my Xikar. At least when the Xikar gets dull, they sharpen it for you. Anyone else have decent luck with a combo? |
