New Cutter

Idk if this should be in the accessory section, but oh well.

So I got a great deal on a new cutter:

Anyways, I'm pretty pumped about it, it's my first "nice" cutter that's not a plastic $5 one, and I'm glad I finally sprung for one.

But I'm going on a cruise in 2 days, and I'm gettin nervous that it might get confiscated by the security people. Anybody have any experience or advice on this??

Re: New Cutter

Call and ask the cruise line. Cool cutter. I personally bought a cheaper end xikar on the bay for $25 and carry that around. I leave my pricier Xikars at home.

Re: New Cutter

I'm not worried about getting it on the ship, what worries me is trying to get past airport security. Will they take it if it's in a carry-on??

Re: New Cutter

Ahh I have that exact cutter I bought from a local B&M. It has been serving me well and fits nicely in my pocket next to my wallet. I believe the cutter should be fine so long as you keep it on your stowaway luggage and not bring it on carry on. And yes the airport near my house (San Jose International) does take cigar cutters.

You can call the TSA or go onto the website. Play it safe and dont put it on a carry on. I have had friends have their nice cutters taken, and never seen again

Re: New Cutter

I always pack my cutter in the checked bags. Probably would not have a problem, but you never know what TSA person you are going to get.
