Question cleaning cutters?

hey lads i know it sounds silly but i gave a gunky xikar cutter (love it loads) but its starting to get dirty so the question is how to clean it with wd40 or clipper oil. thanks in advance

I wouldn't get either near the cutting edges. Just use a damp cloth and elbow grease. Light machine oil in pivot point and locking button.

Ive used a touch of rubbing alcohol on a q-tip to get the gunk on the blade and some food grade lube on the slide points. I'd imagine that it would be the same for your Xikar

Rubbing alcohol, or just thow it in the dishwasher with LIQUID detergent. Powdered can actually dull an edge.
