Palio Cutter Group Buy

I saw this was done before. Anybody know how we could do this again with one of the vendors? Would anybody be interested? I have no idea how to do it, but I'm sure if we got enough people, we could make it happen and get a better price on a cutter.

Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

I would be very much in to buy a Palio cutter if we can get a group together and get a decent price. However, I think this thread belongs in the group buy forum? I could be wrong though.

Re: Palio Cutter Group Buy

Usually if you contact a vendor they will give you a group rate. If you order 10 you get X discount, 20 you get X discount etc.

Then you gauge interest in the buy by posting a thread stating what the prices will be. When you get everyone signed up for how many they want, what style, etc., you then order and then post you have them. The members send you payment via your preferred method for the item plus shipping and you ship out to whoever has paid.

Usually you have no problem with people paying and if you do there is usually always someone who will take the extras off your hands.

I have also seen where the members pay up front but that is usually only with someone who has been a member for a while and is well known in the community.

Re: Palio Cutter Group Buy

I would have jumped on this if I hadn't just bought one from Heartfelt this week. And now for a little story. I bought a digital hygro from them last week and the display wouldn't stay on. I emailed them about it and Dave from Heartfelt answered me back even though it was a Sunday. He told me I shouldn't have to go through the trouble of sending it back and that he'd send a new one Monday morning, no questions asked. Great customer service. I know he's a member here and if you're going to put together a group buy may I suggest you give him a shot at the business. A real stand up brother and we should support him.

BTW I have also purchased from heartfelt and they have excellent customers service. I would say for a group buy we approach them first and see if they can cut us a deal depending on how many we order.

Re: Palio Cutter Group Buy

Great, I hope we can get enough people to make this happen. Thanks for the help Shawn!

I'd also be interested in the wolf v-cutter group buy, but those are only $10 so its not as big an investment as a palio ($35-45). But, if we can do it, I'm in.

Also, in regards to Heartfelt. I actually emailed them yesterday to see if I could return a tube I bought and a round cigar humidifier (bought in the last week for my new humi) in exchange for loose beads with a mesh bag. David emailed me back within 2 hours and said no problem. He's a great guy to do business with and I'd definitely buy other items from him, but I don't believe he sells Palios. BTW, those items work fine, but I had a hard time figuring out which beads in the tube were hydrated and which weren't. I also thought the air didn't hit the beads as much as it would in a mesh bag. Great company, great service.

But, back on the subject. Let's make this group buy happen! Anybody interested, please go to Shawn's link.

I'd be interested in a Wolf V cutter, but aren't they pretty inexpensive?

Might not be worth the trouble to save 2 dollars
