Quick Humi Seasoning??

I got my birthday humi today. 125 count. I threw in for Boveda seasoning packs and my two 2oz heartfelt 65% sticks. I immediately registered 57%. After about 8 hours it is at 64%. Could it have been holding humidity in shipping and already been pretty close? How long should I wait after it stabilizes at around 65% to throw out the boveda packs and throw in my smokes??

I will take a few pics after the smokes go in and posting up. Its a great looking humidor.

Once you have a consistent level for about 24 hours, it's ready.

I loaded it up last night. It settled in at about 66% and held for 24 hours. Its been about 72 hours total now. It only took about half a day to get there, but the RH was already at 57% inside when I started. Must have held some residual humitidty from wherever it was stored.

Yup. This is the case, as often as not. Many humis come from wetter climes and some are purchased from shops having whole-store humidification. My last purchase came ROTT at 70%. This is why I tell everyone to get an ACCURATE RH reading BeFoRE doing AnYtHInG to a new humi!

In your case, if you actually had your beads inside with the boveda seasoning pack at the same time, you effectively charged your beads while seasoning! Double bonus!
