Thompson catalogue discrepancy

We have all seen the thompson catalogues and those cherry wood humidors, which they try and sell as a first humidor either in packages with hats and lighters and cigars, in various configurations.
What i always find funny is that in every single catalog, they show that humidor(and they always give the dimensions) is that it is a 25 count humidor, and then in other places a 40 count humidor, plus in other places the combination is that humidor and 100 cigars.
Person buying that 100 cigars deal is not going to have room for at least 60 or so cigars. What are they suppossed to do with the rest. And in that ad, they dont tell you its a 25-40 count humidor.
I guess they hope you buy it, and then have to order another humidor right away.
Or they assume once you get their el cheapos, you are going to throw them out and buy some better ones. LOL
Much regards Jerry

yah i got sucked in to that deal. The humidor can hold about 30 or so cigars. I have two of them and they both hold humidity real well i did out grow them real fast. Those cigars it comes with were so bad you are spitting out pieces of tobacco for the whole time your smoking it. but its not worth it Thompson has to be the worst place i've ever ordered from all they damn phone calls like 3 times a day.

Having been gifted with one of this humi's (planning on using it for flavored or as drybox) and the 20 stogies that come with it, what do most folks do with these cigars? I tried one of them and didn't finish the first third. Sorry, just not for me.

If you are not gonna smoke em, send em to the troops. They will apprecciate them. After doing what they do allday any smoke is a good smoke.

I have two of them, and you are right. They hold the rh factor like a rock. And I just use that small credo that they give you. Even that cheap hygro is spot on. Those cigars seems to have gotten better after 2 months in the humidor. Not unenjoyable, but nothing remarkable.
Also, I never give any mail order place my true phone number. I never want phone calls or them selling my info. I use a special email addy for all my internet puchases, and thus do not get much span in my primary email account.
I picked up two of those thompson humidors, because they had a special. For 25 dollars even, including ups shipping, you got the humidor, credo, hygro, 25 cigars and a lighter. I had neither a butane lighter or a humidor at that time, so it was a great deal. And like you said, it functions real well.

Much regards Jerry
