Me and a work buddy are venturing into building me some trays and a few shelves......... it shall be interesting.

Check out Home of the Chasidor He does them but there is quite a wait. Thats the reason why Im making my own.

Wow those are really nice!! I was looking to keep the cigars in there original boxes cause I plan to age them for a few years and I thought that keeping in the box was better but im new to this. what do you think? Do you guys make the flat shelves too if I decide to go that route? Thanks for the reply!

It shows you more in depth of the trays/shelves. Im making half trays half shelves. I have tons of singles and a few boxes with plans for more in the future.

Looks great , I would need maybe 2 flat shelves with the grooves in it and 2 trays with the handles on it. How long is the wait for these

Once Chasden (Chasidor.com) starts its usually a 6 week wait. I believe he has a waiting list before he even starts. He only makes so many at one time in batches.

If you are somewhat handy u can get 3/8" Spanish Cedar and cut it 15"+/- wide (double check before you cut though)Buy Cedar, Spanish, 3/8" x 4" x 36" at Woodcraft.com The slots are supposedly3/8" wide and these boards should slide in. I have seen where people just make three seperate slats to hold up thier boxes. If you want to make a full shelf you will need a board and a half of this wood.

I wish someone here had those plain flat shelves for sale , im not handy with woodworking

Since my designs are in "prototype" stages I am not sure if I ever will sell my designs. Maybe when I get mine finished and see what people think maybe I would sell them. The guy who is helping me has a nice woodworking shop. If I could build the shelves by myself and make a lil 'gar money; I may sell shelves. I know I'd need a router and a few bits, but right now those are not great investments for me. Maybe once I get my feet settled and bills down somewhat, I may go that route, but not for now.

Rite now I am using the metal shelves to hold my 2 humis until my shelves are made. The Vino is just basically saving my sticks from the South's killer heat.

Well I just need 3 shelves with some grooves built in it for for air to get through like the flat ones in the link you sent me , let me know if you can help. Thanks
