V-Cutter

I have realized that I prefer a V-cut cigar to a normal cut. I was wondering if anyone knew a good brand of cutters that make V-cuts. Thanks.

The general consensus seems to be that Wolf makes about the best one available, although I'll admit that I'm not very familiar with any other brands.

DaReallyPoGigolo may be really po... But he is very wise!!!

Wolf V-cutter is awesome. It's also inexpensive! Between 10-12 bucks... So even DaReallyPoGigolo can afford one.

You can find them numerous places online.

Re: V-Cutter

V Cut is my favorite kind of cut. I have a Boston V Cutter ( Little Guy V Cut ) which is expensive but it never fulls. I have heard good things about Wolf but don't have one. Beware of imitations as the movement of the cut is not fluid nor sharp. The reason I bought the Boston Cutter is because it never dulls and it works perfectly even after 10 years.

Yes sir! It cuts like it did the very first time I used it but this is why it costs as much as it does. If you do the economics I haven't bought a V Cut in 10 years and that avg's out to $10 a year. The longer I keep it the lower the pricing.

Sweet! Thanks Jason, I've been going by that online for years now, it's always nice to know that someone is amused by it.

Gary,

Where would one find a Boston V-cutter for sale?

Products - The Little Guy

There are imitations out there and they don't work for crap. You will have to call them for pricing and last time I heard they were like $110. Like I said that is a bit high but they last forever. With this warranty you will never have to buy another cutter, ever!

Warranty
All of our products come with an unconditional Lifetime Warranty* for craftsmenship. If your cutter should ever need adjusting for whatever reason. Please contact us for return. ( We reserve the right to repair or replace any unit as we deem necessary.

Sounds like a deal to me! Do you usually prefer a v-cut or is it more of a novelty for you?

I prefer a V Cut but will use my Xikar occasionally. I bet I have cut at least 200 cigars a year with my V cutter and over 10 years that is over 2,000 cigars and it still cuts like new. Try that with other cutters and I have never had to send it back in for any repairs or sharpening.

I use a V cut for every cigar,,,torpedos, belicosos, etc. It cuts everything except for those mongo RG cigars which is a waste anyway as it's like smoking a tree trunk and you never get a taste of the wrapper. If anything, double or triple wrap the large RG cigars.

Well, I'm sold, as soon as I get $110 bucks that is, I might have to go with the Wolf for the time being.

Re: V-Cutter

I tried out my new Wolf v-cutter last night. I suppose my technique will get better, but it took several cuts to get to the full depth of the v. It smoked well, and I think I like it better than a full clip.
